Terms of Service

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Career Guidance Compass ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Career Guidance Compass. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Not create accounts for others without their consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Subscriptions: Access to full career roadmaps and paid features requires a subscription. We offer a Basic plan ($9.99/month or $99/year) and a Premium plan ($24.99/month or $249/year). A limited number of founding-member monthly rates (Basic $7.99/month, Premium $19.99/month) are available to the first 50 subscribers and remain in effect for as long as the subscription stays active on the same plan. A 2-day free trial is available for new subscribers (one trial per device). You will not be charged during the trial period. Current pricing and plan details are always available on our Pricing page.

Billing: After your free trial, your payment method will be charged the price of your selected plan on a recurring basis — monthly or yearly depending on the billing interval you choose — until you cancel. Plan changes take effect immediately and are prorated; changing plans ends any founding-member rate.

Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers. Continued use after the price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new price.

The 2-day free trial grants full access to your selected plan's features at no charge. One trial is available per device. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at your selected plan and billing interval unless you cancel before the trial ends. Cancellation instructions are available in your account settings and in our Cancellation Policy.

You agree not to use Career Guidance Compass to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce our AI-generated content for commercial distribution
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with our platform
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use the platform to harass, defame, or harm others
• Circumvent any access controls or security measures

Career Guidance Compass uses artificial intelligence to generate career roadmaps, daily tasks, resume content, and other materials. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute professional career counseling, legal, or financial advice
• The accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content is not guaranteed
• You are responsible for verifying information before acting on it (e.g., confirming certification requirements with official sources)
• Career outcomes depend on many factors outside our control and are not guaranteed

Our Content: The Career Guidance Compass platform, including its design, code, branding, and AI systems, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content: You retain ownership of the career data, goals, and personal information you input. By using Career Guidance Compass, you grant us a limited license to process this data to provide our services.

AI Outputs: AI-generated roadmaps, tasks, and content created using your inputs may be used by you for personal career development purposes.

Career Guidance Compass is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. We expressly disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Career Guidance Compass shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold Career Guidance Compass harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, your access to paid features will end and your data may be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.
